It'd be a shame if Wikipedia had to start relying on advertising to keep running. Encyclopaedia Britannica would probably make itself the main sponsor and require its Wikipedia entry to say, "Encyclopaedia Britannica is SUPER way better than Wikipedia."

kinda scary nowadays when wikipedia is being used as the battleground of culture wars where people on both sides of a controversial debate change the article constantly to make it fit their narrative.
